Monkey Island

Canacona Island in South Goa is often referred to as Monkey Island because of the many primates you can see here. It is a small rocky island with a forest just off the Palolem Beach. You can walk to the island through the sand bar in low tide. The sea divided the island and the beach in high tide. There is a lot to see around this 5-acre rocky island. You can see Palolem Stone Tower, which is a natural structure and Palolem Rocks, another natural formation. You will also see Shark Point, where there is a high chance of seeing sharks.

A drive to Palolem from Panaji will take more than two hours. There can be a lot of traffic that can delay your arrival.

Luxury Cruise to the Monkey Island

A luxury cruise to Palolem will be much more convenient. Sailing on the sea on a luxury yacht is a luxury experience as well. We will pick you up from your hotel, resort, or villa and drive you to the jetty. You will then board the yacht and sail on the sea to reach Palolem. Transfer to a small boat to reach Monkey Island.

Also, spend time on the Palomen Beach, which is a beautiful palm-fringed coast. Explore the Palolem backwaters too.

Monkey Beach

There is also a Monkey Beach in Goa, which is very close to Vasco. It is sometimes referred to as an island because reaching the beach through the sea route is the easier and more pleasurable option.

Monkey Beach is a small and deserted beach, which is more like a hidden cove. You are likely to be the only tourists visiting this place, which means, it will be your private beach. You have the chance to see dolphins here. There are also the ruins of the Mormugao Fort.

Combine your trip to the Monkey Beach with visits to the Bat Island, Baina Beach, Hansa Beach, and Grand Island, where you will find some of India’s best diving and snorkeling spots. You can see them all in one cruise trip.
